COMPOUNDING is described as the preparation of medication in a specialized form to meet the individual and specific needs of a
patient. In the past, pharmacists prepared medications by using a mortar and pestle, syrups, tinctures and custom formulas. Since the
dawn of mass drug production, this practice has been fazed out to a large extent. At Kennedy Pharmacy, we believe in the return of the
"mortar and pestle." All of our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are trained and proficient compounding experts. In a
collaborative effort with physicians, veterinarians, and chemists, we are able to help many of our patients via customized drug
formulation. Our compounding sampling options include: capsules, suspensions, transdermal gels, transdermal creams, injections, tablet triturates, inhalation therapy, lozenges, suppositories, ophthalmic drops, etc...
